The official Skype application removed from the App Store

The official application that brings Skype service on the famous iPhone has been mysteriously removed from the App Store.
TechCrunch has contacted Skype and the developers confirmed that they did not know the causes of this event:
We too have recently noticed that the Skype application is no longer available in the App Store.
At the time, so you do not know the causes of this strange action by Apple. Recall also that, particularly during the opening keynote of WWDC 2010, the Skype team had climbed on stage during the presentation of new IOS 4.0 to show how, following an update, the application could also work in the background using new API provided by Apple.
