Geohot Come Back with XXXXRa1n !!


Well, a week ago we told you that George Hotz (Known by Geohot) left the Jailbreak scene by saying Good Bye and He will not make any jailbreak again, But before he left, he told us to follow his friend Mike Cohenn, Today, Mike Cohenn posted on his twitter account that it's the time to Make "Ra1n"!!


It's a surprise for both of us, but we have two facts we may put in our mind, The first that Mike Cohenn himself will release a jailbreak named xxxxRa1n and he will take the same exploit Geohot got to jailbreak iPhone 4. The Other fact that Geohot is really back and is working on a Jailbreak!
So Stay Tuned and I will inform you by any News about this Human!

Also Spirit is about to be released  It's (un)tethered Jailbreak for all devices, iPhone 4 / 3GS New and Old Bootroms / 3G and iPod Touch 3G / 2G.

iH8snow : Pwning 4.0 on 3GS (New Bootrom) | ipt2g MC | ipt3 w/3.1.2



BEFORE PROCEEDING, ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR iPod/PHONE BACKED UP!
WHAT WE WILL NEED:
* An iPhone 3G[S] or iPod Touch 2G MC or iPod Touch 3-- new bootrom
* 3.1.2 already installed or 3.1.2 installed via SHSH blobs. <-- Broken blackra1n'd devices will work. (Especially if Spirit messed you up!).
* Payload Pwner-r4
* sn0wbreeze V1.7
* How to Jailbreak iOS 4 Using Sn0wbreeze V1.7
* iBooty V1.4
* 3.1.2/4.0 firmware downloaded.
*All Apple Firmwares (iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download)

* iTunes 9.2 Installed
NOTE :
THIS TUTORIAL ASSUMES YOU ARE ALREADY ON 3.1.2!
 not working on 3.1.3 because The exploit used is closed in 3.1.3 and beyond.
 Step by step :
step 1:
Pwning iBEC + iBoot
Download this easy tool Payload Pwner-r4
step 2:
 Making a Custom IPSW
Download sn0wbreeze V1.7 ,USE EXPERT MODE! , In General, Checkmark "Disable NOR Flash" ,Build it.
step 3:
iBooty Prep.

Most of you know of the utility "iBooty" that I made for Aki_nG.

It will work as long as you place all of the correct files there.

I : Download iBooty GUI here -- iBooty V1.3 and Extract it.

II : Extract your Custom IPSW created by sn0wbreeze with 7-Zip or another un-archiver.

III : Grab the kernelcache and bring it into the same folder as ibooty.
Also grab iBEC from the folder "Firmware\dfu".
Aswell as DeviceTree from the folder "Firmware\all_flash\all_flash.n88ap.production\DeviceTree.n88ap".

IV :
* Rename your Kernel 4.0-Custom to "kernel.40"
* Rename your iBEC 4.0-Custom to "ibec.40"
* Rename your DeviceTree 4.0-Custom to "devtree.40"

Your folder should look like this :
- iboot.payload <-- Created with Payload Pwner.
- devtree.40 <-- Grabbed from Custom IPSW made by sn0wbreeze.
- ibec.40 <-- Created with Payload Pwner.
- bspatch.exe <-- Comes with iBooty.
- iBooty.exe <-- Comes with iBooty.
- kernel.40 <-- Grab from Custom IPSW made by sn0wbreeze.
- sn0w.img3 <-- Comes with iBooty.
- wait.img3 <-- Comes with iBooty.

step 4:
Restoring to 4.0 + Booting
-------
*MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON 3.1.2 WHEN DOING THIS*

I : Run iBooty and Select "Prepare Device for Custom Firmware". Run the Process and if you see the image, you can proceed!

II : Now open iTunes and restore to the custom ipsw.

***WHEN DONE, YOUR DEVICE WILL GO INTO RECOVERY MODE. IT WONT BOOT.***

Booting

I : Just Re-Run iBooty and select "Boot It". If all goes well it will boot!

How to Jailbreak iOS 4 Using Sn0wbreeze V1.7 [ Old + New ] Bootrom [ videos + Pics ]


Update application Sn0wbreeze v1.7 compatible iPods Touhc 2G (TM) 3G, with new iDevice iBoot.
But the jailbreak is tethered, it will restart iBooty for re enable it after every reboot of the iDevice.
This version allows you to create a custom iOS 4 jailbroken and then use a new guide to restore this custom.
  • Compatible for iPod Touch 2G (TM) and 3G, new iBoot.
  •  That signed shsh in 3.1.2 (it seems unnecessary) but be under the 3.1.2 firmware only.
  •  Sn0wbreeze v1.7
  •  The firmware iOS 4.
  •  Windows only.
 This version is also compatible with other models.
 Be sure to leave the first check box: Disable flash NORs
 
  • The creation of custom remains the same procedure as the guide.
  •  The restoration of this custom iOS 4 is to achieve with this guide.
  •  Tethered jailbreak (not final), to restart it after every reboot of the machine.
  •  But wait for the update of two tools by iH8sn0w: iBooty + Payload Pwner
  •  Official Site.
  •  Sn0wbreeze v1.6.2 for iPhone 3G and 3G models, iPod Touch 2G (not MC).
I advise you to wait tools more reliable and less complex installation guide!
The Dev Team have announced major Comex advanced on the jailbreak of all models under iOS 4.

iOS 4.0.1 will be Released Soon, Save SHSH before it's too Late!


Apple is about to push their new firmware iOS 4.0.1, This is according to AppleInsider which posted that iOS 4.0.1 is coming on Monday to fix some issues and bugs found by iPhone 4 users. This update basically may be hardware only and no Software update!


This is your Last change to Save SHSH before Apple pushes iOS 4.0.1 so for All iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G/3G Owners using iOS 4, You have to Save SHSH before it's too late, I already posted guide how to save SHSH of iOS 4 using TinyUmbrella posted below:
