Geohot Come Back with XXXXRa1n !!

Well, a week ago we told you that George Hotz (Known by Geohot) left the Jailbreak scene by saying Good Bye and He will not make any jailbreak again, But before he left, he told us to follow his friend Mike Cohenn, Today, Mike Cohenn posted on his twitter account that it's the time to Make "Ra1n"!!

It's a surprise for both of us, but we have two facts we may put in our mind, The first that Mike Cohenn himself will release a jailbreak named xxxxRa1n and he will take the same exploit Geohot got to jailbreak iPhone 4. The Other fact that Geohot is really back and is working on a Jailbreak!
So Stay Tuned and I will inform you by any News about this Human!

Also Spirit is about to be released  It's (un)tethered Jailbreak for all devices, iPhone 4 / 3GS New and Old Bootroms / 3G and iPod Touch 3G / 2G.

How to: Jailbreak any iPhone, iPod, or iPad [Using Spirit]

Wondering What's Jailbreak, and How it can be Done? you heard a lot about Jailbreaking and it seems like a dangerous process, Here's a guide for What you need about Jailbreaking any Device ..

Why Jailbreak?
When you buy a new Device from Apple, you're accepting that its fate will be dictated by Apple. They have the full control for what kind of apps you can install on your Device and Which carrier you use on your iDevice and if you want to install an app that Apple hasn't explicitly approved? Sorry you can't. Want to Record a Video? Nah Sorry. Want to Change Device Looks, Themes, and Backgrounds? Nope.

From a couple of Weeks, comex (one of the dev-team members) has released a new tool jailbreak any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2. It's simple and safe to work, and Here's how to Jailbreak your device using Spirit Bellow

Note: Follow this guide at your own peril, know that there's risk and be careful. Consult elsewhere if you're nervous, or worry that I've missed something.

How to Jailbreak with Spirit:
Step 1: You have to Save SHSH Blob for Mac and Windows from Here.
Step 2: Download Spirit Jailbreak for Mac or Windows.
Step 3: You will need iTunes 9.x (Latest confirmed working version: iTunes 9.1.1)
Step 4: Connect your Device
Step 5: Open the Spirit Jailbreak tool. It will open in a small window, and should display a message like "iPad (3.2) Connected." If not, disconnect and reconnect your device, and open the tool again.

Step 6: Click "Jailbreak"
Step 7: You should see a screen on the device that says "Restore Complete." The device will restart, display a spinning pinwheel icon, and open up a colorful screen like this, with a progress bar :
Step 8: It will take up to 30 seconds, then it will boot up to your homescreen, as it was before with the same background, apps and settings. Now you're jailbroken.
Step 9: Now after restarting your device, you'll see a new icon on your homescreen, called Cydia. Open it up. This is your new App Store. Don't worry, the regular App Store still works. you've just got another one:

Unlocking:
Unlocking is opening your phone to use with different carriers and that what everyone who got an iDevice needs, But unlocking has become more difficult with later firmwares, the tools have grown apart. Spirit doesn't unlock. If you want to unlock, though, there may be hope.

But if you haven't upgraded to iPhone to firmware 3.1.3, or you can downgrade to earlier build. then you can use the Pwnage Tool, located here. The process is self-guided and quite similar to using Spirit. Unlocking is a comparatively narrow concern, and can get much more complicated, so I'll leave it at that.

Un-Jailbreaking:
If you had already jailbroken your device and didn't like this style, you can switch back and un-jailbreak your device easily

Note: This guide only applies to software versions 3.1.3 for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and 3.2 for the iPad.

Step 1: You need is your device's latest firmware file that can be got from here.
Step 2: Plug your device in, and open iTunes
Step 3: Shift-click (Windows) or Option-click the "Restore" button in your iTunes device summary page. Navigate to the firmware you've downloaded, and restore.
Step 4: Now iTunes should ask you if you want to set up your device as a new device, or from a previously stored backup. If your goal is to return to a life before jailbreak, you're probably going to want to restore.

How to: Prevent Baseband update after Spirit Jailbreak [last-ditch]

MuscleNerd (one of the iPhone Dev-Team) posted some tweets for how to prevent Baseband update after Spirit jailbreak using a method called "last-ditch" for those who ignored warnings on SpiritJB.com to not use Spirit if you're using blacksn0w on an iPhone 3GS without 3.1.2 SHSH blobs on file. This is not a jailbreak or an unlock by itself. It's much safer (that method has the potential to brick your baseband if your timing is off).
Some People who were using blacksn0w on their iPhone 3GS at 3.1.2 tried to apply the Spirit JB without removing blackra1n. They found themselves in a reboot loop or stuck at the Apple or recovery screen.

Note:Do not use this method if Cydia has your 3.1.2 SHSH hashes on file – it's overkill! Just restore to 3.1.2 using your saved hashes instead. (But if you've already got 3.1.3's baseband on your iPhone, it's already too late for you and you must wait for the next unlock. This method doesn't change that.).

Requirements:
  • Using iPad 3GS
  • No 3.1.2 SHSH blobs on file with Cydia (or locally on your computer)
  • You've never updated or restored (or bought your iPhone with) stock 3.1.3 before
  • Have access to a SIM card that will allow your iPhone 3GS to activate through iTunes.[Important]
  • You're currently in a reboot loop or stuck in recovery mode. If you're not, You may want to leave well enough alone for now.
Steps:
Step 1: Make sure you have rslite or iRecovery handy and that you can run it. You'll need to use it after iTunes errors out.
Step 2: Unzip the 3.1.3 IPSW. You'll be making three changes to it.
Step 3: Remove Firmware/all_flash/all_flash.n88ap.production/LLB.n88ap.RELEASE.img3
Step 4: Edit Firmware/all_flash/all_flash.n88ap.production/manifest. Remove the first line (LLB.n88ap.RELEASE.img3) then save back the file.
Step 5: Remove the two references to LLB in BuildManifest.plist. You want to remove the lines starting with LLB up to and including the next (this will be 17 lines). Do this twice…once in the first half of the file, and once in the second half.
Step 6: Zip it all back up. Keep in mind that the top-level of the zip should be that directory where BuildManifest.plist is. (Don't zip it from the folder one level up from this by mistake).
Step 7: Restore or update to this modified IPSW (not the stock one from Apple!). It will eventually error out (error #6).
Step 8: Use rslite or iRecovery to get past the subsequent recovery screen. Using rslite, you'd do:
% rslite
rslite v0.2 - by the iPhone Dev Team, 2009.
--THIS IS AN UNSUPPORTED TOOL--
Connecting...
[Recovery] setenv auto-boot true
[Recovery] saveenv
[Recovery] reboot
