Steve Jobs stopped in Japan for possession of ninja stars !

Steve Jobs and ninja stars are unusual a pairing , but undoubtedly brilliant. According to a news magazine published by the Japanese SPA !, Jobs was stopped Kansai International Airport last July because the metal detector had been activated from his bag . Inside the briefcase were found of ninja stars , a family holiday in memory of Japanese land .

The security personnel prevented boarding Jobs on his private jet with potentially dangerous weapons . SPA ! Jobs said that he reasonably replied , stating that it had no intention to divert his private plane (as blame him ?) and no longer visited Japan.
The story, told by a tabloid , it certainly taken with the tongs , but seems to have been partially confirmed by a source. Takeshi Uno, a spokesman for Kansai Airport , said that a passenger has actually attempted boarding with " shuriken , "or the ninja stars , but it was locked. The spokesman can not disclose the identity of the passenger because of privacy regulations passengers, but said that the star has still had to throw away the unusual souvenirs.
Apple declined to comment about the affair. We propose again to open the image posted by FastCompany, very nice .

[Apple] New iPhone 4s Coming on September ?

CanalMX reports that Apple is set to release a newly version of the iPhone 4 that do not have the malfunction of the reception by the end of September. The iPhone 4 users were reporting a lot of issues as antenna issues which experienced when holding the device. Also users complained about a proximity sensor glitch which may not be fixed in iOS 4.1. Below is the Google Translation from Spanish,

He [Marco Quatorze, Telcel's Director of Value Added Services] also said that as of September 30 Telcel will be available in new devices that do not have the malfunction of the reception and explained that the company will have several options to make changes from one phone to another flawed not to take: “If the previous plan is over, you will need to hire a new change for iPhone 4. If, for example, already has one and take three months for payment, change the cell with a re-employment and takes into account the previous time, so instead of paying 24 months, only done in 21. “

The question of the case beyond the phone company that we hire, it is worth evaluating whether to purchase the first version of iPhone4 with all its flaws, or wait a month to be available the new version promises to vindicate the reputation of this controversial but attractive device, though no doubt there will be many users who are not willing to lose this dream so long Smartphone.
Last month Apple offered free bumpers for iPhone 4 users but it seems like a mistake as it damages the iPhone. Also, the iPhone 4 bumpers program ends by end of September, so is that an evidence for the truth of this story? But is that the only way to fix iPhone 4 issues? to make a new one! [via 9to5mac]

iPhone 4 soon in 6 new countries: small hardware changes coming?

According to head of Telcel, known Mexican carriers will soon sell the iPhone 4, the new Apple device will be launched in Mexico and five other countries with small hardware ny change.
According to his statement, Apple would have made subtle changes to hardware to clear the whole problem of low reception on the iPhone 4.
The new iPhone will be sold by Sept. 30, same date chosen by Apple to terminate the program "Bumper" which allows users to request a free care after buying the iPhone 4.
Could be a mere coincidence, but considering that the statements come from a leading exponent of a carrier who has entered into agreements with Apple, they should be taken into account.                                                                                                                       [via

Apple Applied for a Patent to Disable Jailbroken Devices

U.S. Corts already made Jailbreaking and Unlocking iPhone fully legal, But Apple will still fight jailbreaking by upgrading iOS devices to kill the jailbreak, Not only that! Today, Apple has applied for a patent titled "Systems and Methods for Identifying Unauthorized Users of an Electronic Device", which will allow it to remotely disable an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch if it detects any unauthorized activity such as hacking, jailbreaking or unlocking the iOS-based device.

undefined

Ars Technica posts:
The patent, titled "Systems and Methods for Identifying Unauthorized Users of an Electronic Device," describes several ways a device could sense who is using an iPhone or iPad. Among the methods considered are voice print analysis, photo analysis, heartbeat analysis (!), hacking attempts, or even "noting particular activities that can indicate suspicious behavior."
The device could automatically snap pictures of the unauthorized user and record the GPS coordinates of the device, as well as log keystrokes, phone calls, or other activity.
Once an unauthorized user is detected, the device can then automatically disable certain features or send notifications to Twitter or other services.
They didn't mention anything about jailbreaking, but they mentioned "hacking attempts", Good move Apple! So will you still jailbreaking? Or Apple will really stops you from jailbreaking and unlocking iDevices?

Apple finally allowed magazine publishers to offer iPad magazines to subscribers free of charge

Apple has finally allowed magazine publishers to offer iPad magazines to subscribers free of charge.

Last month it was reported that Time Inc. was set to launch a subscription version of its Sports Illustrated iPad app, where consumers would download the magazines via Apple’s iTunes, but would pay Time Inc. directly. But Apple rejected the app at the last minute, forcing the Time Warner (TWX) unit to sell single copies, using iTunes as a middleman

This has now changed with this week's new People iPad app, which is, for the first time, free to People subscribers, according to CNN Fortune. It's expected that all Time Inc.'s magazines (Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune) will adopt the new feature within the next month.

It's not clear what took so long. Publishers who were encouraged to build iPad apps by Steve Jobs himself say were ready from the start to make them free to subscribers. Until now, however, Apple would neither give them the tools they needed, nor explain what was holding them up. The publishers still can't sell subscriptions through the App Store, which is how they would prefer to do it.
