Skyfire, the mobile browser-based Flash coming for iPhone? "RUMOR"

Developers SkyFire, known for the popular mobile browser support for Flash technology, could come soon on the iPhone. The technical fact, immediately after the approval of Opera Mini in App Store, kicked off the development of this new mobile browser compatible with the IOS platform.

The work is almost completed and developers SkyFire could send to Apple as early as next week, after a short period of beta testing. We currently have no other information and for this we can not offer screenshots of the graphical program. There are also serious doubts about its approval of the application in App Store (especially if it should really include support for Flash technology).

However, if this happens it would be really interesting to have the App Store another alternative mobile browser to Mobile Safari. In any case follow the story and keep you informed about it.

Meanwhile, we ask, think that Apple will adopt a software that supports the Flash Player so hated in the App Store?

Cydia : SwitcherPlus is upgraded and becomes public

SwitcherPlus a tweak is still in beta, of which we have spoken here in preview. Today developers have updated the application, making it also pass a public beta giving all the chance to test it. Come see all the changes in this version.

[How to] Use Facebook Places on your iPhone

Facebook Places was announced last week for U.S. members on Smartphones including iPhone, Android and Blackberry! If you don't have a one or not in U.S.

then you can't use Facebook Places, We made a quick guide for people who don't know how to use Facebook Places. help you get up, run and share your location!

Facebook Places enables Facebook users to share their location with their friends. When you use "Check In" Facebook will let you know immediately which of your friends have checked in near you, so you will surprise your friend!

Step 1: At first you need to have Facebook for iPhone official app.
Step 2: Once you installed your Facebook for iPhone app, Launch the app and tap on "Places"

Step 3: After touching on " Places" you will be brought to a page which displays all of your friends latest locations. To share your location touch on the “Check In” button at the top.

Step 4: A list of locations will be displayed, most likely including the place that you are at. Simply click on the correct location. If your location isn’t displayed, try searching for it. If it still doesn’t show up, you can add the place by clicking the plus ”+” sign in the top right.

Step 5: The next page will show the location on a map and prompt you to enter details about what you are doing. Once you’ve entered any information that you want to, just click the “Check In” button.

Step 6: After checking in, you may possibly receive a notification like the one above, telling you about friends who checked in at a nearby location.

[vWallpaper][How to] Animated HD Wallpapers for iPhone [video]

vWallpaper is a new Cydia tweak which allows you to enable Animated HD wallpaper on your iPhone, it allows you to embed .mov or .mp4 videos as wallpapers on your iPhone or iPod Touch on iOS 4.x! vWallpaper is available in Cydia Store for free!

Step 1: After jailbreaking, press Home Button and touch on “Cydia”
Step 2: Now Touch on “Manage --> Sources”

This package will install a script in /var/mobile you will install with Mobile Terminal.
This script will allow you to free up memory on the hard disk, partition and optimize your system iDevice, it may be necessary following the release with JailbreakMe or other software to jailbreak.
Tested and working without errors on iOS 4.0/4.0.1, compatible with all iDevice OS 3x and iOS 4x.

Required:

•  Mobile Terminal iOS 4x.

Facebook For iOS Exceeded 100 Million Active Monthly Users

Yesterday Facebook announced that the Facebook official application for the iOS has passed a staggering 100 million users per month, which indicates that about the same number of devices currently sold by Apple, but an important note to clarify that the Facebook application doesn't support native iPad interface.

The development task of the Facebook was complicated, Jow Hewitt, who headed the Facebook development project, leaved the project due to the restrictive policies in Apple. He spoke to TechCrunch:

“My decision to stop iPhone development has had everything to do with Apple’s policies. I respect their right to manage their platform however they want, however I am philosophically opposed to the existence of their review process. I am very concerned that they are setting a horrible precedent for other software platforms, and soon gatekeepers will start infesting the lives of every software developer.

The web is still unrestricted and free, and so I am returning to my roots as a web developer. In the long term, I would like to be able to say that I helped to make the web the best mobile platform available, rather than being part of the transition to a world where every developer must go through a middleman to get their software in the hands of users.”
